Tuck the extra edge of the carpet under the gap and use the hooks of the transition strip to hold it in place. An easy option to properly finish a carpet installation at a door entrance or transition. The z bar is used with tack strip with the tack strip installed directly on top of the z bar.

Measuring 4 ft it matches up perfectly to a standard tack strip. Create a nice smooth finished edge where carpet meets your tile flooring with the exclusive z bar from trafficmaster. Place the spiked end of the kicker a few inches away from the bar on top of the carpet. Stretch the carpet over the z bar with a knee kicker.

The four foot z bar matches up perfectly with standard 4 foot tack strip. If there s already a carpet there cut it just a few inches longer than where you want to meet the tile.
