For those of you that don t know tires are about 75 of a car s setup. If the top of the tire leans in toward the car it has negative camber. Likewise a tire that leans outward at the top has positive camber. Since i do a lot of local racing i know that the solaris pre mounted tires work good on both the carpet and asphalt better on the asphalt tracks.

At horizon we have a group of about a dozen staff members that include some of the top aerobatic and jet aircraft pilots in the country and when the weather turns cold we all break out our cars and head to the local carpet track. Camber camber is the relationship of the tire to the ground such that a tire that is perpendicular to the racing surface has zero camber. You can have a perfectly set up car but if your tires are junk your car will be junk on the track. The harder springs put more pressure on the carpet which creates a bigger wrinkle where the tire is contacting the carpet on the track.
